In December 2006 Ian and Linda Brookes purchased LJ Hooker, from Derry Crisp through their company Sekoorb Pty Ltd ( Brookes backwards ). The Franchise business of
LJ Hooker Armidale has operated in the district since 1986, and has consistently grown year by year.
Ian has over 20 years in the agency business, bringing a wealth of experience in rural sales, and property development. The three reasons for our expanded growth has been trust, honesty and above all, service to all our clients. All of the LJ Hooker team take pride in providing the old fashion service that sadly lacks in our industry today.

Situated on the New England Highway, Armidale is roughly halfway between the cities of Sydney & Brisbane, (566km from Sydney) and is only 2 ½ hours drive from the coast. Armidale was gazetted in 1849 and still retains many heritage buildings. Armidale is the home of the university of New England, which is known worldwide. It is principally a rural city producing some of the worlds best superfine wool. Rural production also includes cattle and fat lambs with many hobby farmers producing a diverse range of produce eg: Wool breeds of goats for meat and fibre sale, alpacas, ostrich and emus for their fibre meat and oils.
