Testimonials
"The reason we decided to place the property with L.J. Hooker, Bowral was not because you gave us a higher appraisal , but the polite professional manner in which you conducted yourself. We both felt confident that if anyone was to sell Karinya you would be the person to do so. We made the right decision, because in a few weeks you sold our house and not just once but twice, as the first sale fell through - Thank you, Thank you Mr. Hooker."
Bowral Locality Guide
126 km south west of Sydney in the heart of the Southern Highlands, nestled below Mount Gibraltar, is Bowral.
The town is a country retreat from city living with a population of around 8,800.
Bowral is a commercial centre and a unique town with strong city influences but offering all the country 'trappings' of mountain ranges, tree-lined avenues, sprawling farmlands, country villages and some of the most attractive gardens in NSW.
The name Bowral is thought to be derived from 'bowrel', an Aboriginal word possibly meaning 'high'.
For a while the town was known as 'Wingecarribee', the name John Oxley gave to the property he purchased in 1823.
