More and more people are choosing to live ont he Central Highlands, according to Department of Local Government and Planning Populations figures.
A recently launched report show population increases in all Central Highlands shires.

896 km north-west of Brisbane at the junction of the Capricorn and Gregory Highways, is the City of Emerald.
