Testimonials

12th September 2008

Dear Julie,

I greatly appreciate the professional manner in which you facilitated the sale of my property.

Not all sales go smoothly, and having an agent who solves all problems and goes out of their way to ensure both the buyer and the seller are happy ensures the sale goes ahead smoothly.

In my case, you solved many problems which I would have found difficult, as I do not now live in the area. No doubt the buyer is also appreciative to your attention to detail.

LJ Hooker also exceeded expectations on marketing the property.

I recommend anyone who is contemplating selling to use your services at LJ Hooker and again, a big thank you to you and your staff for your professionalism and thoroughness in the sale of my property.

Dear Julie,

THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU, you and all your staff have been wonderful in ALL aspects for selling our home at 9 Parkes Street, Helensburgh.

After a stressful start listing our home with another Helensburgh agent who recommended an auction this just cost us thousands of dollars with NO results.

I was very pleased to change over to L J Hooker Helensburgh and felt very comfortable with you Julie right from the start. I would like to thank you and also your wonderful staff for keeping us informed as to each stage of the sale, we always knew where we stood and I thank you for phoning us on a regular basis.

I would recommend you to anyone that needs to sell their home as you will do the right thing by people, very honest and reliable.

Thankyou for everything

Sincerely

Peter and Ingrid Sheriff

Helensburgh Locality Guide

Helensburgh is a historic mining town with unsurpassed rural and suburban living without the pressures of urban living. Surrounded by virgin native bushland, it sits as an oasis between Sydney and Wollongong.
Helensburgh is classed under the jurisdiction of Wollongong City Council, with many of its 7,500 inhabitants commuting daily by rail.
The first settlement was largely a tent town of railway workers engaged in the construction of the train line. During construction in 1884 coal was discovered and the township was laid out on the tableland above the mine.
One theory has the town being named after Helensburgh in Scotland, birthplace of the mine’s manager, the second theory is that the town was named after the mine… more
