Location Description

Marsden is situated on the outer southern suburbs of Brisbane, half way between the Brisbane City and the Gold Coast. Using the nearby freeways will give you access north south and west with the city only twenty minutes away or the gold coast only 40 minutes.

Marsden is part of Logan City, the largest provincial city in Queensland with approximately 170,000 residents of which approximately 16,500 residents live in Marsden. Residents enjoy sub-tropical summers (21-37 degrees Celsius), and mild, sunny winters (8-20 degrees Celsius).

Marsden and its surrounding suburbs offer wonderful investment opportunities because of the high demand for rental properties which are producing strong rental returns.

The area is also attractive to first home owners because of the affordability of that first home.

Attractions

Scrubby Creek, which becomes Slacks Creek giving its name to the nearby suburb, runs along the northern border of Marsden.

Karawatha Forest is approximately 770 hectares of bushland and coastal lowlands. It is one of the largest areas of remnant bushland in the Brisbane area and is now protected.

 

Facilities

Marsden Shopping Centre is situated on Chambers Flat Road and contains the local branch of the council run library.

From Marsden it is a short drive to cinemas, restaurants and clubs at Logan Central.

Browns Plains RSL is a popular venue for entertainment, meals and general socialising.

 

Transport

There is a netwrok of buses which travel to the city and surrounding suburbs.

The nearest train station is 10 minutes drive away at Loganlea.

The trip to Central station Brisbane is about 32.2 kms and will take around 40-50 minutes.
