25 properties set to go under the hammer at Northern Beaches auction night
An impressive 25 properties will be auctioned by the nation’s leading real estate brand LJ Hooker at a special auction night this month, with one lucky vendor winning $10,000 towards a trip of a lifetime.
LJ Hooker will hold the inaugural Northern Beaches ADvantage Auction night on Wednesday, March 23 which will include properties listed by 12 LJ Hooker offices, including; Freshwater, Narrabeen, Palm Beach, Dee Why, Avalon, Newport, Collaroy, Manly, Seaforth, Balgowlah, Mona Vale and Frenchs Forrest.
This is the first time such a cohort of offices has banded together in the Northern Beaches according to Ben Mitchell, NSW state manager at LJ Hooker.
“The group of offices from Palm Beach right down to Manly are coming together to showcase, in this tight listing market, some of the finest property that the Northern Beaches and New South Wales have to offer,” he said.
“The network of offices are the market leaders in the area, selling 1 in 5 properties on the Northern Beaches.”
Mr Mitchell said they were expecting over 100 buyers to turn up on the night to compete for the 25 properties that start at around $500,000 and go up to $4mil.
“There is an eclectic range of stunning property on offer, from multimillion dollar waterside residences to two-bedroom beachside apartments,” Mr Mitchell said.
“The auction night is our chance to showcase the strength of the LJ Hooker brand in the Northern Beaches and the power of acting as one.”
Those who list their property for sale with one of the 12 participating LJ Hooker offices will go into the draw to win a $10,000 Flight Centre Travel voucher and $5,000 and $3,000 Westfield gift vouchers. There is also the chance for buyers and sellers to win $10,000 cash thanks to LJ Hooker Home Loans Northern Beaches if they get a free LJ Hooker Home Loan health check.
The auction night comes at a time when auction clearance rates in the Northern Beaches are at a 2016 high of 80.6 percent, according to APM Property Data.
A donated piece of Quorra Jewellery valued at $4,000 will also be auctioned on the evening with all proceeds going to the Bear Cottage – the only children’s hospice in NSW that offers palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions.
“The Bear Cottage do amazing work for sick children and their families and we feel privileged to be able to help in a small way to raise funds for such a worthy cause,” Mr Mitchell said.
“We hope people dig deep for the beautifully designed Quorra Jewellery piece.”
The night will be held at Col Crawford BMW in Brookvale and the prizes will be drawn on the night.
