New school campus opens in Dandenong

Families looking for residential properties near specialist schools may be attracted to Melbourne's south-east suburbs after the opening of a new campus at Emerson School on June 15.
The new middle years campus is on the site of the former Greenslopes Primary School and has undergone major development with the renovation of classrooms and the construction of a $3.1 million gymnasium.
Victorian education minister Martin Dixon said the Dandenong school provided a significant boost to specialist education in the region and students would reap the rewards of the new campus.
"Emerson School has achieved something special for its students, turning an old school site into a world-class facility, designed to provide a supportive environment for students," Mr Dixon said.
