ACT town redevelopment to attract property investment
The proposed redevelopment of Erindale town centre is moving forward, with the final master plan for the project unveiled last week (September 18).
ACT minister for the environment and sustainable development Simon Corbell said the project will revitalise Erindale group centre, improving public transport services and car parking options in the region.
He said: "The plan is focused around the development of a new transport hub including a new rapid bus station with park and ride facilities and the relocation of the local bus stop to provide better transport links into the city and other town centres."
A number of multi-unit residential projects have been proposed for the southern edge of the Erindale centre, potentially igniting the interest of people looking to live in close proximity to local amenities.
"This master plan will give Erindale centre the breath of fresh air to sustain a growing population as well as continued viability of retail and business uses in the centre," Mr Corbell added.
