LJ Hooker team aims for rosier Cystic Fibrosis future
Balloons soared across Australia as LJ Hooker offices raised awareness in the community about Cystic Fibrosis (CF)
CF the most common life threatening, recessive genetic condition affecting Australian young people.
LJ Hooker is the national partner of Cystic Fibrosis Australia (CFA) and LJ Hooker offices nationally
supported Australia’s Hunt for RosesTM and 65 Red Roses Day this May.
A gold coin donation bought a helium balloon, with hundreds sold for LJ Hooker Balloon Day at real estate offices, open houses and auction events.
LJ Hooker has raised over $5 million for Cystic Fibrosis research and for CF communities around Australia since 1998.
L. Janusz Hooker said “We are very proud of our 14 year involvement with CFA.
“The LJ Hooker network has raised much needed funds for CFA research which has improved the standard of care as well as increased the life expectancy of sufferers from 20 years to 37 years of age.
“But we ultimately hope our efforts and the support of the Australian community, will make curing CF a reality.
“LJ Hooker activities, like the Balloon Day, aim to raise funds for a cure as well as assisting CFA and its state and regional people to continue to support families managing the condition,” said Mr Hooker.
