New train station schedule for Perth

August 06, 2012

If you are a homeowner looking to sell your property, you will understand the importance of spruiking your dwellings best points.

While the physical aspect of the property and its features are an important deciding factor for a prospective buyer, there are also a number of considerations outside of your dwelling that weigh in on the decision.

The location of a house and its proximity to amenities, adequacy of local infrastructure and public transport services are important concerns for anyone looking at buying a property.

For homeowners selling a house in Perth's southern suburbs, the recent announcement of an $80 million infrastructure project in the region is likely to be welcomed.

Western Australia premier Colin Barnett revealed plans for the multimillion dollar project to build a new train station and a 2,000 bay car park at Aubin Grove.

Mr Barnett said the transport project would accommodate the state's expected population growth - improving local services in the region.

He commented: "The latest population forecasts for Western Australia show an increase of about 400,000 people by 2026, with part of that increase expected from suburbs such as Aubin Grove, Atwell, Hammond Park, Mandogalup and Wandi."

Plans for the project are expected to be completed by the end of the year.
