Shane Warne's Brighton mansion up for sale
Shane Warne is selling up as he prepares to relocate overseas with fiancee Liz Hurley - putting his multimillion-dollar Melbourne home on the market in the lead-up to the big move.
According to a News Limited report, the spin-bowler is preparing to sell his elite Brighton mansion which he bought in 2009 for close to $9 million with ex-wife Simone Callahan.
The palatial property may attract the interest of high-end buyers, with the residential property expected to sell considerably lower than its $15 to $20 million market value price back in the August.
Some experts have tipped the residence will sell for more than $10 million, with prospective buyers already showing interest in the prime piece of real estate.
The William Street mansion boasts a swimming pool, an underground car park, paparazzi-proof fencing and tennis courts.
Interested buyers could snap up the property at a bargain price, after buyer's advocate David Morrell said the property had been up for sale for "some time now but was yet to have any nibbles."
Mr Morrell said most buyers in the $10 million plus market were inclined to choose a property located near the water - indicating the elite home could sell well below its market value.
"There are probably only a handful of people willing to pay over $10 million for a property in Brighton and these people tend to be prudent about their purchase," Mr Morrell said.
"They want a triple A address - something by the beach - for that sort of price."
