Unit investments perform solidly in 2013
Units performed solidly as investments in 2013 against the backdrop of improving property values.
According to RP Data-Rismark, the aggregate gross rental yield for the combined eight Australian capital cities was 4.7% for units in the 2013 calendar year.
While cities such as Sydney, Melbourne and Perth experienced strong growth in values during 2013 – normally reducing gross rental yields - rental returns for units remain relatively strong.
