On settlement day you will need to pay the full amount of purchase price, less any deposit paid. Your lawyer will finalise these details.
You should arrange with the selling agent to have a final inspection of the property on settlement day to ensure everything is as agreed with the vendor. If the dishwasher was part of the sale – make sure it is there before you settle!
Decide well ahead where you will collect your keys from on settlement day, whether from your agent or solicitor, and make sure all parties are aware of the arrangements so there’s no confusion.
