The Gray family owned the business through two World Wars, the Great Depression, Australia's conversion to decimal currency and the advent of computers.
However, after 3 generations of family ownership, John Noel Gray (Grandson of the founder) sold John Gray & Son to John Monahan, himself the grandson of one of Swan Hill's early land agents. This wealth of history and industry involvement was reinforced when the business franchised with LJ Hooker in 1984 in the face of the rapid transformation of the real estate industry from one based on localised knowledge alone to one focused on customer service, information technology and sophisticated marketing strategies.
Today the office is led by John Monahan OAM, a real estate professional with over 35 years experience in the local real estate industry. The sales team has over 50 years combined real estate experience and has several accolades for outstanding sales performance.
