Week 8: Tahnee goes prospecting and receives some seasoned advice
It’s officially the end of week eight and the amazing thing is that every week just keeps getting better!!
This week was all about prospecting, prospecting, prospecting.
I spent the week attending open homes to gain market knowledge and meeting up with other people in the real estate world who have all taken the time to chat and impart knowledge on me. It’s so wonderful that other agents, although very competitive, still take the time to share their wisdom with me!
The Jewish community had Rosh Hashanah which was incredible for me to see and learn about. Marc Burman from LJ Hooker Bondi Beach took a few hours out of his day to answer all the questions I had about the holiday. He also took the time to tell me about his journey so far and his experience of a career in real estate. I was really impressed with the way Marc conducted himself as a real estate agent and took a lot away from the conversation we had.
One thing that really stuck with me this week was a phone call I received on Friday from Christie Smith, Director and Licensee of LJ Hooker Yarrabilba. She gave me a call between her meetings to see how I was feeling about everything. We spoke for over an hour! She took the time to talk to me about not only real estate but also my life and career goals and shared with me some of her experiences from when she first started working in the industry.
I was honestly blown away by the amazing advice Christie gave me and it just shows that although we are in sales, there is always the option to help each other out, give back and provide support. We have some amazing people in this in industry and she is one of them!
Going into week nine I’m pretty excited to get out there and start visiting some other LJ Hooker offices.
As always, thanks for following my journey!
