When considering a residential real estate purchase, many factors must be taken into account before making a final decision.

Some real estate seekers are mainly influenced by the surrounding neighbourhood of a potential home.

Would you prefer to live near a thriving nightlife district? Maybe you prefer a quiet street
away from noise and traffic? Perhaps you are an animal lover that takes your pet everywhere you go?

If you think that dogs are indeed man's best friend, you may be encouraged by a recent announcement relaxing pet rules for a few Sydney neighbourhoods.

Residents of Redfern, Chippendale, Surry Hills and surrounding neighbourhoods will soon be able to let their pets off their leashes in part of Prince Alfred Park.

Lord mayor Clover Moore explained that walking about with your pet is an important part of community living.

"Public parks are for everyone to enjoy and we aim to strike a balance for all residents. Prince Alfred Park is big enough to accommodate everyone's needs, including dog owners who do not have big backyards."
