West Australians on the hunt for rural property in one of the state's fastest growing regions may be interested in 60 new residential lots which are set to hit the Karratha property market this week.
State lands minister Brendon Grylls said LandCorp released 60 land lots by private treaty - the first time in three years - yesterday (December 12) amid increased demand for real estate in the regional area.
"In recent years, the state government has released more than 1,000 residential lots in Karratha and in addition facilitated more than 1,000 dwellings through the private sector, which has gone a long way to help meet the enormous demand for land brought about by the resources industry boom," Mr Grylls explained.
"Part of the government's Pilbara Cities vision for Karratha has been to ease this upward pressure on accommodation and rental prices and this plan is coming into fruition."
The minister went on to add that with an additional 44 lots due to be released upon further demand, Karratha's property market will become more inviting and accessible.
For those who are interested, prices start at $216,000 for a 338 sq m lot at Madigan Estate, with sizes ranging upwards to meet different customer needs.
