House hunters looking for residential property in Queensland may be interested in a number of state-owned lots in the Mary Valley region which are set to go under the hammer next month.
Announcing the release of the eight high-quality acreage properties last week (November 16), deputy premier and minister for state development, infrastructure and planning Jeff Seeney said the real estate lots range in size from one to 12.77 hectares.
"We expect these properties will generate a high level of interest from buyers in Queensland and from interstate," Mr Seeney remarked.
Sold through the Helmsman auction system, the minister said buyers would be able to place multiple bids down at the same time.
"When the sale gets underway, all properties are put on the market simultaneously and bids are recorded on a screen enabling bidders to view progress for each property at all times," he explained.
Mary Valley, which is located between Gympie and the Sunshine Coast, is becoming an increasingly popular tourist destination, with the area famed for its country atmosphere, lush rainforests and unique wildlife.
The largest section to be auctioned is a 12.77 hectare Skyring Creek Road property, while the smallest is a 2.03 hectare Ironstone Creek Road.
The auctions will take place on December 8 at the Marriott Hotel in BrisbaneMary Valley land to hit the auction market
