There is a great commitment towards improving health care and education in the Northern Territory. A total of $930 million has been devoted to education across the territory and the region spends over $1,000 more per person on health care than the rest of Australia.

The leader of the nation in both categories, NT might be the ideal place to invest in residential property and start a family.

Children in the region are sure to benefit from the extra resources at school this year. 160 teachers were added to the roster and each government primary school and group school has received or will receive a $300,000 upgrade.

On average, the territory employs more doctors and nurses per patient and houses more hospital beds than all other states in Australia. "The Northern Territory government is continuing to improve our health system by providing affordable, quality and accessible health care," said health minister Kon Vatskalis.

The forward-thinking investments into two crucial institutions make the region attractive for Australian families. Parents looking for a suitable place to raise children may just find it in the Northern Territory.
