For those interested in making a property investment in New South Wales, an undeveloped site in the city’s west may spark the interest of investors.

Last week (August 10), the Department of Planning and Infrastructure announced the North Penrith Defence site proposal was up for public exhibition.

The department is urging the public to comment on the site proposal for preliminary infrastructure works and subdivision of the five-hectare area.

Landcom has proposed 27 residential property lots, one super lot for apartments, one heritage area, a lot for open space, three integrated housing lots, as well as construction of vital roads and infrastructure.

The site has already been approved for a mixed-use development, accommodating dwellings, open space and employment land.

Classified under the mixed-use development means the site presents significant opportunity for investors, including apartment and commercial property construction.

The environmental impact statement (EIS) for the site proposal is on display to the public until September 7, with interested parties encouraged to make submissions about the development.

Public comments will be taken on board by the department, along with the applicant’s response and considered carefully as part of the final assessment.
