Moving into a new rental property can be quite costly in the beginning. Bond and other start up costs often mean that new furniture, white goods and other purchases are put on the back burner.

There is another option – why not rent? Furniture and goods rental companies can offer long or short term rental solutions with everything from fridges to lounge suites.


Rental furniture is often used by vendors looking to spruce up their home when selling, but it can equally be used by people temporarily renting their home.

 

 

 

Renting furniture, electronic equipment and white goods may be a beneficial course of action for you. For example:

 

  • It may save you time and money.
    You can select home furnishings that sit comfortably within your budget.
  • It may provide more options.
    You can choose the furniture you need that suit your home and which best suits your lifestyle.
  • It may offer greater flexibility.
    Rent your furniture for a long term or a short term, find out what options are available.
  • It may cut down removal hard work and costs.
    Moving? You may not need to worry about moving your furniture at all if it is not required in your new home. Note, there may be fees involved ending a rental agreement, or in relocating furniture and goods to your new home if you decide to take then with you.

 

All-important rental documents


Whether you are relocating to a new rental property or moving into your very home as a tenant, there are documents you need before moving in and which will be given to you at the time of sign-up.


These can differ slightly from state-to-state and country; however, the following items are required in most jurisdictions:

 

 

  • Information booklet relating to renting in your state
  • Copy of the Tenancy Agreement
  • Copy of the Bond Lodgement form
  • Original and copies of the Condition Report - to be checked, completed and signed, then returned to the office in the required time frame
  • Receipt for initial rent amount, lease fees and bond monies
  • Photocopy of all access keys and remote controls (if any)
  • Emergency contact number details
