People selling a house in Brisbane have recently been experiencing faster sales and higher prices, according to a release from the LJ Hooker office in Bulimba.
One of the residential properties recently sold by LJ Hooker agents was only on the market for four days before selling.
Principal Tracie Harrington said that agents in the area were 'run off their feet', but it wasn't only Bulimba being affected by the market change.
"We have seen a huge increase in demand for properties across all the areas we work in including Morningside, Hawthorne, Balmoral and nearby Seven Hills.
"High demand equals faster movement and generally higher sale prices, so it is absolutely a great time for sellers to enter the market," she said.
Recent data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) showed Brisbane's population grew by 43,300 people from 2011 to 2012, with growth in the rest of the state not far behind that at 42,700.
As the population continues to grow, more people will be in the market looking for homes and rental properties.
