Improving your residential property for sale often seems harder than it really is, but if you're looking to sell your property at the best price you can possibly get, you might be interested in making a small investment to really increase the value of your home.
One of the first things to think about is your security system. No property buyer will consider a solid security system as a bad thing, so if you can make improvements in this area then it won't go unnoticed. You can make simple changes by upgrading your locks, or you can go the whole way and install an alarm system complete with security cameras.
Another major thing to consider is your insulation. If your home gets uncomfortably cool over winter then you might be able to improve your home's value by insulating the walls and thinking about double-glazing those windows!
A third option to think about is purely aesthetic - the garden! Plenty of buyers are interested in having some sort of garden, and while a lawn is a good start, features like a vegetable garden, gazebo or even a small fountain or pond might make all the difference.
