One of Australia’s oldest independent real estate firms, Sprake Real Estate, established in 1938 in Queensland, has announced it has rebranded and joined the LJ Hooker Group.

Experienced business owners Tony Sprake and Peter Mott, who are deeply ingrained in the Wide Bay-Burnett community, and have more than 40 years combined principal experience, led the agency’s transformation to LJ Hooker Fraser Coast.

Mr Sprake said the decision to rebrand will help bolster their market presence and finally bring a true super brand to the region.

“Our decision to rebrand to the best-known name in real estate, LJ Hooker, means we can capture market share faster and future-proof the business. Australians know and trust the LJ Hooker name, so combined with our local market knowledge and expertise further cements our position in the Fraser Coast market.

“The innovative systems and resources including award-winning training that is readily available through the LJ Hooker Group is like nothing else in the industry and taking a leadership position is imperative in our shifting real estate market – not just to service customers but also to retain talent.

“We understand and appreciate that customers are wanting personal care and attention from their agent more so than ever before. LJ Hooker Fraser Coast is the only agency with offices in both Maryborough and Hervey Bay with the synergy and crossover of staff to offer better service, efficiencies and results for customers.

“Our footprint spans four generations, having survived world wars, recessions and global pandemics, with a long-established culture of real estate excellence. Today, joining the LJ Hooker Group provides the ideal vehicle for us to become an even greater force in our local area,” said Mr Sprake.

LJ Hooker Group State Director Stephen Mutton said the Queensland based agency coming onboard demonstrated the value in joining the network and is a welcome return of the brand in the Fraser Coast market.

“It was a huge decision for Tony and Peter to take the business in this direction after 83 years as an independent agency – we are grateful to them for the trust they have showed in our powerhouse brand.

“Tony and Peter worked closely with our network development manager, Aaron Booth, to ensure the transition was the right fit for both parties.

“We understand that joining a franchise is a big step and, similar to buying or selling a property, is all based on transparent relationships.

“Our mission is to create super offices that can withstand the ever-changing and competitive real estate landscape, and we have enormous faith that Tony and Peter will further develop and grow their business and the brand with our assistance.”
