Brand values boost the tech revolution: LJ Hooker

By Ryan Ellem on Feb 23 2018

Brands that uniquely bridge brand values and digital innovation will emerge as the winners in an ever-changing marketplace, LJ Hooker's elite team heard this month.

Across six capital cities, 1,400 principals, sales and property management specialists turned out for the network’s annual Ignite18 roadshow, hearing the strategy and priorities to assist offices in winning more market share this year.

Keynote speaker, futurist and business technology specialist Steve Sammartino, outlined the need for professionals to embrace the fact that digital change would be ongoing.
However, while tech advancements enhanced convenience and efficiency in everyday activities, consumers still wanted to understand what a brand and its people offered on a 'humanised' level.

"The biggest opportunity right now in technology and for LJ Hooker is something the brand has in spades - trust," said Mr Sammartino.

"The one thing you need to rely on when things are changing so rapidly is trust: who can I trust; who’s been around for a long time?

"(LJ Hooker) has been around for 90 years (and) that’s rare – few people or businesses have that."

LJ Hooker Network Chief Graeme Hyde said while the brand was a leader in digital innovation, personal service still underlined the brand’s proposition.

"LJ Hooker heavily invests in digital innovation," said Mr Hyde. "But at the end of the day, technology is a key enabler for our personal interactions.

"We've just completed our largest ever roadshow around Australia and our network members connected with our unique offering. Our digital innovations improve productivity, market exposure, reporting and more. But LJ Hooker has also built up a legacy across several generations, building trust in families and communities in our commitment to their needs as sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants.

"It's important that we never lose sight of this inherent consumer desire for trust, especially when we work in an industry where people are making major commitments."
