LJ Hooker digs deep for struggling kids

LJ Hooker digs deep for struggling kids

Last year, the LJ Hooker Foundation was launched to consolidate the fundraising efforts of agents, property managers and support staff, with monies going to the designated beneficiaries of Cystic Fibrosis Australia and the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.

The Humpty Dumpty Foundation liaises with public hospitals around Australia to identify needed pediatric equipment.

Last month, a jaundice meter valued at $9,075 was delivered to Sydney’s Westmead Hospital’s maternity ward, while a Connex Vital Signs Monitor valued at $6,200 was handed over to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital’s Emergency Department in Brisbane.

LJ Hooker CEO Grant Harrod said: “On any given weekend, LJ Hooker teams around the country are fundraising for our charity partners or local causes to make a tangible difference in the communities in which they live and work”.

“The LJ Hooker Foundation is proud to support the Humpty Dumpty Foundation, which will help channel the results of our fundraising efforts to in-need medical equipment in hospitals
across Australia.

“Through the LJ Hooker Foundation, our offices can nominate their local public hospital and Humpty will source an item on their wish list – so money raised by the office will go directly back to their local hospital and make a difference to local children in need.  The donation of the Jaundice Meter to Westmead Hospital and the Connex Vital Signs Monitor to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital are great examples of this.

“We’re looking forward to giving more back to the community through The Humpty Dumpty Foundation and Cystic Fibrosis Australia.”
