Queensland and NT's finest celebrated on the Gold Coast
LJ Hooker Sunnybank Hills has again been crowned the leading real estate group’s top performing office.
At LJ Hooker’s annual Queensland and Northern Territory awards this month, LJ Hooker Sunnybank Hills took home Top Office, Top Sales Office and Top Auction Marketing Office.
It follows another strong year for the southern Brisbane office. The full-service agency offers everything from sales and property management, to finance and project marketing.
Highlighting the team’s across-the-board prowess, LJ Hooker Sunnybank Hills boasts:
- 11 agents in the Top 15 per cent of LJ Hooker’s Australasian network;
- three agents in the Top 1 percent of the network;
- a property manager and administrative specialists in their respective top network groups.
LJ Hooker Network Chief Graeme Hyde said the Sunnybank Hills agency - led by seasoned property specialists Peter Crowther, Peter Florentzos and Zora Liu - was an industry leader across Australia.
“It’s exceptionally rare to find such excellence across the diverse disciplines of real estate under a single roof,” said Mr Hyde. “But their leadership team demands a high standard in service to sellers, buyers, landlords and tenants, subsequently becoming an agency of attraction for exceptional real estate professionals.”
Taking out the other major honour was LJ Hooker Nerang Principal Shane Colquhoun, who was named Franchise Owner of the Year.
Indeed, the Gold Coast was well-represented on the winners’ stage. The market’s enthusiasm for the city was illustrated in the median house price rising six per cent in the 12 months to June, according to the Real Estate Institute of Queensland, positioning it as the state’s growth leader over LJ Hooker’s awards period.
Mr Hyde paid credit to Mr Colquhoun, saying: “Shane is an inspiring leader to his staff, the wider LJ Hooker network, and a proactive member of his local community.
“Prior to the Commonwealth Games, when interest in the local market began to gather pace, Shane took a leading role in how our brand serviced the increased volume of enquiries from both buyers and sellers.
“The Games showcased the Gold Coast’s distinctive character and the market’s renewed interest in the city will continue in its wake.
“True specialists like Shane give customers confidence that they’re receiving the very best advice on their property journeys.”
Amongst other awards on the night, LJ Hooker Broadwater’s Ana Tulloch was named Top Salesperson, earning herself a Gold Medal in the process – the top 0.5% of agents in the Australasian network.
“Ana is the benchmark in customer service. When someone entrusts their asset to her – whether that’s a first home owner or a seasoned developer – she can tailor a strategy which will find the right buyer for the right price,” said Mr Hyde.
Tempany Thiery of LJ Hooker Gympie was named Top Property Investment Manager for the region on the night.
LJ Hooker’s Head of Property Management Amy Sanderson said: “Being a property manager in a regional area requires being on the road a lot. Tempany successfully overcomes these inherent challenges to deliver exceptional service to her landlords and tenants.”
