Property buyers are well-informed about the importance of location for their own living comfort, attractions to tenants and potential for capital gains but not every property coming to the market can be in a ‘prime’ location.

LJ Hooker Earlwood principal Glen Higgs, in the Cook River Valley Times, stated that the notion of ‘prime’ had a personal meaning to property buyers.

“We see buyers deliberately seeking out homes on major transport routes because of the ease of accessing employment and the likelihood of a train or bus stop within a short distance, for example. They consider these prime locations whereas others may not.

Appropriate planting, fence designs and double glazing can reduce traffic noise and increase privacy, and renovations relocating living areas away from the road can improve the home’s appeal,” he said.
