Agency renewal boosts LJ Hooker’s foothold in Perth metro

Paula LagrenadeAustralia’s most trusted real estate brand is bolstering its presence in the Perth metropolitan region with LJ Hooker Victoria Park | Belmont re-signing their franchise agreement.

Principal Paula Lagrenade (pictured) said the new agreement marked an exciting chapter for the business with its continued commitment to innovation, growth and excellent customer service. She joined the LJ Hooker network in 2000 as an office of just three people; today, they employ 28 staff.

“The people within LJ Hooker have become like family, and with their assistance, we have been able to grow our business, and we look forward to becoming even bigger,” she said.

“We initially looked at a lot of franchises, and LJ Hooker stood out not only as the most trusted name in the industry, but it also offered the best systems. Over the years, we have experienced a network that fosters collaboration and shared successes among its business owners, so re-signing was a straightforward decision.”

LJ Hooker Head of Network Australia Chris Keating congratulated Paula on becoming a market leader in Perth’s vibrant southeast with residential and commercial sales, as well as strata management. LJ Hooker Victoria Park | Belmont is also a passionate supporter of local schools, cancer fundraising and the LJ Hooker Foundation.

“This is a business that is involved in many events and charities, not for marketing purposes but because it wants to give back to the community,” Chris said.

“Paula provides wonderful leadership and is dedicated to her team by investing in training and providing support. She has always been focused on improving and offering the highest standard of service to her clients. We are looking forward to seeing what the new agreement brings for the business.”

Paula made a transition from banking and finance to real estate, spending several years in sales and property management. Together with husband and business partner David, they set up an independent office, which was later rebranded as LJ Hooker Bentley. In 2001, the couple purchased LJ Hooker Victoria Park and merged the two agencies, securing premises for the business.

Today, LJ Hooker Victoria Park | Belmont offers sales and property management services across several popular inner-city suburbs, including Lathlain, South Perth, St James, Wilson, Cannington, Queens Park, Como, and Karrawarra.

Paula said prices in the area have been growing steadily, reflecting its desirability across a range of buyers, including young professionals, downsizers and interstate investors. The inner-city has also seen a shift from traditional housing to a mix of apartments, townhouses and lifestyle properties. Older style blocks are also being redeveloped, creating new housing stock in the area.

“There is a lot of energy in the market right now and we want to capitalise on that momentum by increasing our sales and property management teams, so our new franchise agreement is very timely,” Paula said.

“The culture of LJ Hooker is about family, community and people, not just selling houses. So, our focus is to also provide the highest standard of service to our clients.”
