Two of the top-selling real estate agents on the NSW Central Coast have made the change to LJ Hooker, opening a new office in Berkeley Vale.
Volkan Akintetik and Reece Caira, previously with Stone Real Estate Tumbi Umbi, have launched a new venture together, joining Australia’s most iconic real estate brand. The pair have dominated sales in the Berkeley Vale area, specialising in residential sales, investment properties and luxury waterfront real estate.
“We have achieved everything we could as salespeople at our previous company, consistently ranking as number one in our area and always ranked in the top five on the Central Coast – so it is time to take on the role of business owners,” Mr Caira said.
“To align ourselves with a nationally known brand like LJ Hooker is an exciting step forward for us. We looked at many brands, but the point of difference for us is that LJ Hooker is still growing its network and investing in technology, which gave us a lot of confidence moving forward.”
Jarita Rayasam, Head of Growth, welcomed Mr Akintetik and Mr Caira to the LJ Hooker network, saying their expertise will further bolster the brand’s presence in the popular Central Coast real estate market.
LJ Hooker has several successful operations in the region, including Terrigal, Wyong, Gosford, The Entrance, Tumbi Umbi | Killarney Vale, and Budgewoi | Toukley.
“The Central Coast is a corridor market, and Berkeley Vale was the missing piece of the puzzle for us, and now to have a new office opening there is very exciting,” Ms Rayasam said.

Mr Caira grew up on the Central Coast, while Mr Akintetik has lived in the region for more than two decades.
The new business, which officially launched last week, is a family affair for both agents. Mr Caira’s wife, Jess, brings award-winning marketing expertise to the business, with her creative campaigns recognised across the industry.
Mr Akintetik’s son, Ethan, who has been part of their team for four years, will continue to work as a sales agent, while his partner, Terry-Anne, will manage accounts.
“Berkeley Vale is such a diverse real estate market with waterfronts, acreages, developments, units and traditional residential homes,” Mr Akintetik said.
“The reaction from our clients has been fantastic, and we think that is because LJ Hooker is already so well known in the market as a trusted company. So, people are excited for us but also excited for themselves as they are teaming up with a big name.”
