Growth isn't a perk, it's the plan

LJ Hooker is proud to have a significant number of women business owners in Australian real estate. Many of them started as agents: working hard, delivering results and wondering what the next step could look like.

Jarita Rayasam National UpdateWhy are so many choosing LJ Hooker? Head of Growth Jarita Rayasam (pictured left) said it’s, “Because real growth happens when you’re backed by a network that values people as much as performance.

“Whether it’s tailored training, trusted support or access to strong female leadership, our network is built to help you succeed on your terms.”

Larissa Schembri recently opened her first LJ Hooker office, in Liverpool, in southwest Sydney. She outlined why she chose to make such an ambitious move.

“Going from agent to owner wasn’t a cookie-cutter rollout, it was strategic, personalised and genuinely collaborative,” said Larissa. “I’ve been able to bounce ideas with some of the best in the industry and always felt supported to lead in my own way.”

Nadine Edwards is the franchisee at LJ Hooker Cairns Edge Hill, and has been with LJ Hooker since February 2004. She mentioned mentorship and drive to perform at the highest standards as reasons for such longevity within LJ Hooker’s franchise network.

“LJ Hooker isn’t just a brand; it’s a network of high-performing people who genuinely want to see each other succeed,” said Nadine. “From learning how to run an auction-focused agency to expanding market share, I’ve always felt backed by people who get it and want to help.”
