The newly launched LJ Hooker United Group is made up of two amalgamated agencies and will operate from three separate locations within the Macarthur region, including Gregory Hills.

Director Alejandra De Maria said it is an exciting new chapter for the real estate business, which was previously a Wiseberry office and established by her family in the mid-1990s. Together with co-directors Michael Montes de Oca and Mitchell Crawford, they recently purchased the United Property Group, which is also rebranding under the new LJ Hooker business.

The strategic move will see their staff number more than double in size, covering a range of properties, including residential and acreage sales, as well as a significant rent roll.

“It was time to make a change, and LJ Hooker aligns with our values of integrity, professionalism and a genuine commitment to service,” Ms De Maria said.

“It is one of the most trusted and recognised names in the real estate industry, and being part of the network gives us access to industry-leading tools, training and support that will ultimately benefit our business. Specifically, we knew that we needed assistance with marketing and technology.

“After meeting LJ Hooker, we knew that this was the right choice. They were very welcoming, sincere and we felt very comfortable right from the start.”

The Western Sydney International Airport in Badgerys Creek is set to open for domestic, international and air cargo services in late 2026. It is expected to create significant economic and employment opportunities for the region, including housing and transport links.

Head of Network Australia, Chris Keating, said the changes coming to the region will be significant, with new LJ Hooker offices set to be part of the transformation.

“For almost 100 years, LJ Hooker has played a role in the evolving landscape of metropolitan Sydney, contributing to the emergence of new town centres and residential areas, and it is integral that we carry on this legacy,” he said.

“Alejandra, Michael and Mitchell are experienced operators in Sydney’s southwest with detailed market insights who are ready to grow their business. They will be supported by a network that is not only well respected by peers and consumers but has the knowledge, history and expertise to guide them on this journey.”

LJ Hooker has a long-standing history in the southwest corridor with LJ Hooker Lifestyle Group, LJ Hooker Narellan and LJ Hooker Leppington | Austral. Now, along with LJ Hooker United Group, these franchises will focus on a range of suburbs servicing a region touted by the New South Wales government as Sydney's third CBD. It's a region gaining interest not just from owner-occupiers and first homebuyers, but also from investors.

It will benefit from unmatched infrastructure development, master-planned communities and potential for capital growth. The new Metro line will also provide improved connectivity for residents as well as new roads, employment hubs and lifestyle amenities, also shaping the vibrant region.

“We take a unique and people-first approach to real estate,” Ms De Maria said.

“We understand that every property, every client and every journey is different, and we tailor our service to reflect that. The strength of the LJ Hooker brand will give our clients the confidence to work with a team that truly knows the market and, importantly, cares.”
