LJ Hooker enjoys strong office growth during summer 2025
The opening months of 2025 have clearly showcased LJ Hooker’s appetite for expansion. Backed by a new brand identity focused on The Difference, LJ Hooker opened eight offices across the end of 2024 and the start of 2025, spanning two countries and three Australian states.
The eight offices are LJ Hooker Liverpool (New South Wales), LJ Hooker Mudgeeraba (Queensland), LJ Hooker Sunbury (Victoria), LJ Hooker Morayfield | Caboolture (Queensland), LJ Hooker Paynesville | Lakes Entrance | Metung (Victoria), LJ Hooker Parramatta (New South Wales), LJ Hooker Pokeno (Waikato, New Zealand) and LJ Hooker Southern Partners (Auckland, New Zealand).
LJ Hooker Head of Growth Jarita Rayasam said these office openings were testament to the strength of LJ Hooker’s franchise network, brand identity, lead generation capabilities and share of voice in a fiercely competitive market.
“We have started 2025 with incredible momentum and energy, onboarding new franchisees, expanding offices and adding new locations to our growing network,” Jarita said. “It’s been thrilling to work with such a committed and enthusiastic cohort of real estate agents aiming to match vendors with buyers and investors with new tenants.”
A central driver of this activity has been LJ Hooker’s widely celebrated brand reset, which is built around a new brand identity called The Difference, as explained by LJ Hooker General Manager Marketing Stephan Gervois.
“The Difference is more than just a branding campaign; it is a philosophy that defines the LJ Hooker network and sets us apart,” Stephan said. “By embracing our iconic brand and signature tri-colour flag, we have crafted an unmistakable identity that stands out in the market.”
Franchisees and agents at these new offices know that by joining the LJ Hooker network they’ll instantly receive a flying start from the 97-year-old company’s near total brand recognition and leading share of voice in the industry.
“By equipping our network with a premium brand, our franchisees stand out from the pack when consumers are choosing which real estate agent to entrust with their property,” Stephan continued. “In turn, our agents will be able to better communicate how we consistently achieve the best results, how straightforward and transparent our process is and how professional we are.”
Larissa Schembri is the new director of LJ Hooker Liverpool. She said heading up this office, an expansion of LJ Hooker Bankstown | Moorebank, achieves a long-held dream for the 28-year-old wunderkind.
“It has always been a goal of mine to have my own office as well as being a real estate agent,” Larissa said.
“Liverpool is a city itself and is surrounded by high-growth areas. I’d developed a large market share in the area but to grow it even further we needed to open an office to give the brand an official presence and, luckily, everyone agreed.
“It is exciting to be able to take this next step in my career.”
New LJ Hooker Sunbury franchisee Adam Elsherif explained his decision to switch from an independent business to becoming part of a network.
“In Sunbury and surrounding areas, most homeowners are familiar with the LJ Hooker name, and our own research showed people were more open to business under a rebrand than if we stayed an independent office,” Adam said.
“We had already started shifting our business to the area, with around 80 per cent of our stock in Sunbury. It started with a land development and the business has grown through word of mouth from there, so it made sense to relocate here and start a new chapter.”
Jarita Rayasam said agents looking to follow Larissa’s lead in heading up their own office need only pick up the phone.
“There’s nothing I enjoy more than working with ambitious real estate agents looking to realise their full potential,” she said. “We have the team, the brand and the technology to make dreams come true.”
