High performer joins leading LJ Hooker office in growth region

M BallA new appointment for Australia’s iconic real estate network sees top-selling agent Melinda Lee-Ball joining the Brisbane Greater Metropolitan region.

Mrs Lee-Ball, former selling principal and co-owner of Belle Property Coomera, brings more than 20 years of industry experience and joins the team under principal Neil Cowan at LJ Hooker Shailer Park. She will focus on listings and residential sales across popular family-friendly areas.

“I’m happy to be back concentrating on the sales side of the business and LJ Hooker being such a well-known and trusted name in real estate will give my clients peace of mind,” she said.

“I’ve known Neil for a long time and knew we shared a similar approach to business and focus on collaboration and teamwork. It was an easy decision for me that if I was going to change brands, it was important to go somewhere with a good work culture that also reflected my own values.”

Head of Network Australia, Christopher Keating, congratulated the LJ Hooker Shailer Park team on welcoming one of the area’s top-selling agents to the network.

“Attracting top talent reflects the network’s clear vision, strong values and commitment to excellence,’ he said.

“Melinda is a highly recommended agent in the area who is known for her attention to detail and a passion for helping clients. Neil has made a strategic recruitment that will not only be an asset to his business but also the brand.”

Mrs Lee-Ball is joined by her sales associate, Luisa Sargent, who also moved across from Belle Property to LJ Hooker. They have worked together since 2020, and their focus will be on Shalier Park, Tanah Merah, Loganholme and surrounding suburbs.

“I feel incredibly privileged to have Melinda and Luisa as part of our team, bringing a wealth of experience, proven track record and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding results for their clients,” Mr Cowan said.

Mrs Lee-Ball has been impressed with the level of training offered by the LJ Hooker network, which is provided to staff looking to enhance or update their skills, including accessing latest technology and systems.

“It can be a matter of time and cost, so it is very attractive that there is no additional charge for coaching,” she said.

“In this industry it is easy to put your personal development and training second, so I am looking forward to this being a focus in 2026.”
